Mike Myszkowski
General Manager / Director of Golf
Mike joined SCC in April 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for golf. Prior to SCC, Mike was the PGA Head Golf Professional for 16 years at a private club in Connecticut. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is Class A PGA certified. A short mantra that he discovered not long after he graduated college, has been the driving force behind his professional path: “A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are for.” Thus, while his career started in accounting, it was his love for golf that led him to various roles in several country clubs and Tournament Director for the FUTURES Golf Tour (now known as the Epson Tour, the developmental tour of the LPGA). Residing most of his life in Connecticut, Mike has also lived in Florida, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Outside of work, Mike is an avid golfer and a dedicated fan of UConn Basketball (men’s and women’s), Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Minnesota Vikings. He has played golf courses across the US and internationally including Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Aruba, Curacao, St. Croix, and the Dominican Republic, and has a bucket list that includes Pine Valley, Augusta National, and Old Head Golf Links. Outside of work, Mike also likes to read, travel, and spend time with his wife Joanne.
Rachel Machado
Food & Beverage Director
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Rachel relocated to Thomasville from Orlando, FL, two years ago. She joined SCC in December 2023, bringing two decades of hospitality industry experience, a field in which she is deeply passionate. Rachel holds an Associate Degree in Science and is close to completing her Bachelor’s in Abnormal Psychology. A few “stand out” moments in her career include appearing in a news segment on mixology, and assisting in opening a restaurant that was featured on “America’s Best Restaurants”. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son in activities such as soccer, tennis, visiting the trampoline park, and trips to Wild Adventures.
Aaron Elrod
Assistant Golf Professional / Pool Director
A native of Moultrie, Aaron began working at SCC at the age of 16. He was a key member of Colquitt County High School’s 2006 Class 5A State Championship team and was the State tournament’s low medalist. His achievements in high school earned him a scholarship to Darton Junior College in Albany, GA, before transferring to Armstrong State University in Savannah. At Armstrong State, Aaron was a second-team All Peach Belt Conference selection as a senior. Turning professional in 2013, Aaron initially pursued a playing career but soon shifted his focus to coaching, serving as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Armstrong State for two years. In 2015, Aaron returned to Moultrie and SCC and has been advancing as an associate in the PGA Golf Management program, working towards his PGA certification. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys lifting weights, playing basketball, and fishing, but his favorite pastime is spending quality time with his two boys.
Tina Yarbrough
Office Manager
Tina has lived her entire life in Moultrie, and started working at SCC in October
2007. She has a background in business and accounting, having studied at
Southern Regional College and at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. While
still in high school, Tina began what would become a life-long pursuit of coaching
others to achieve their best level of fitness by leading her first aerobics class at
Steve Godwin’s Gym. She has been able to dovetail her business acumen with her
love of fitness instruction for more than 25 years by obtaining her Athletics and
Fitness Association of America (AFAA) certification, and has taught at the YMCA,
Ladies Workout Express, and Snap Fitness. When not working, Tina enjoys getting
a latte and shopping, horseback riding, and spending time at the beach.
Clint Hancock
Course Superintendent
Clint Hancock began his role at SCC in June 2022. Born in Moultrie, Clint has also lived in Dublin and Tifton, GA, Birmingham, AL, and Destin, FL. At the age of 15, he started a small lawn service maintaining properties in two subdivisions, which sparked his curiosity about advanced turf management. He took a part-time job at Dublin Country Club and quickly became captivated by the field. This passion led him to study golf turf management at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and complete an internship at Reynolds Plantation’s Great Waters Course. After graduating, Clint moved to Birmingham, AL, to start his career, learning from the best in the business. Often asked, “What do you do, grow grass?” he humorously responds, “Yes, that’s exactly what I do!” Yet, the role of a superintendent involves much more—management, chemistry, problem-solving, and leadership. He values his crew immensely, providing the expertise for maintaining pristine turf so that members can fully enjoy their game. Outside of work, Clint enjoys fishing, football season, and spending time with his family.
